About the Author
Hi there!
I'm ES. Joseph, and I've had the pleasure of being a Ministry of Education (MOE) teacher for over 10 years. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree form the National University of Singapore and a Masters Degree in Education from NIE-NTU (Singapore). My teaching journey has taken me through several fantastic government schools, including Clementi Town Secondary, Naval Base Secondary, Presbyterian High, CHIJ St. Joseph, and Farrer Park Primary. Along the way, I've had the joy of working with many wonderful students, from those in Normal Technical (NT) and Normal Academic (NA) streams to those in Express (E).
In addition to my experience in government schools, I've also taught full-time at several top international schools in Singapore for several years helping several students from HK, China, Indonesia suceed in their AEIS and graduate into mainstream MOE schools. I also taught at various top-notched tuition centers in Singapore. I am currently a full-time tutor having dedicated more than 10 years in private tutoring. In those years, I have used proven-techniques and strategies including the use of online Zoom to conduct my lessons. Throughout my years of teaching in the above, I am proud to say that many of my students have achieved outstanding grades, with some even earning prestigious awards and resounding accolades from notable instritutions! My passion lies in teaching Science, English, and Mathematics at the Primary level, especially helping students prepare for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). At the Secondary level, I enjoy teaching Sciences (S1 to S5) and Mathematics (Secondary 1 and 2). I strive to be patient and understanding, and I take the time to get to know each child’s unique strengths and weaknesses.
I believe that a positive student-teacher relationship is the key to successful learning—it's something that grows over time through trust and understanding. After all, when you understand a child, you’re already halfway there!
